But recent experiences with Foxwoods compared with similar experiences at Mohegan Sun have left me favoring Mohegan Sun for future visits. (I am particularly fond of California Pizza Kitchen where the food and service is consistently good). Lots of slot machines, tables, and other gambling venues a variety of shopping opportunities, including the Tanger Outlet Mall where you can actually get real bargains (a suitcase I bought there for $89 sells online for $198!) comfortable, well-appointed rooms and a wide assortment of food choices at fairly reasonable prices. Like Mohegan Sun seven miles away in the pristine Connecticut countryside, Foxwoods is a beautiful casino with all the amenities one would expect from any first class operation. But I have a few exceptions based on recent experience that makes Mohegan Sun a better choice for your gaming dollars. In January I wrote a very positive review of Foxwoods Resort and Casino and stand by my comments concerning the quality of the facility.
